With the new year and semester in full swing, we're so excited to see what amazing stuff are in store for the sorority! The start of the semester can only mean one thing: rush is here! Our executive board has been hard at work to get us ready in time to welcome in new girls.

Why GDPi?

Upholding the values of womanhood, loyalty, and democracy since 1965, Gamma Delta Pi sisters have always dedicated themselves to giving back.

Every sister prides herself on contributing to the local community and making network connections and academic accomplishments to better their futures. GDPi is, first and foremost, a social service sorority. We often volunteer and donate to local shelters, participating at events such as Relay for Life, the Fire & Ice Festival, Walk Out of Darkness, and more each year.

Yet Gamma Delta Pi is also a social sorority and often mix with Cornell and IC fraternities. Our social team is always hard at work planning our next amazing event, from secret sister in the holiday season to our annual senior picnic, we're always busy doing something.

Rush week has always been a week-long event and couldn't be possible without our rush chair Natalie and her amazing team! While the publicity team works hard to get the word out there around campus, rush team is more busy than ever getting everything ready for the week.

We're so excited for our rush week events and can't wait to meet all the rushees! But having been through the process myself, I understand how confusing it can get so here's the breakdown: you must attend at least two of the weekday rush events to be invited to weekend events. Attending two events also allows you to be considered for a bid-- a bid is a formal invitation from the sorority for you to accept becoming a pledge for GDPi. If you accept and join the new pledge class of the semester, you go through the pledge process and become initiated as a sister once you make it through!
